Anderson School of Management Dean Search

University of New Mexico Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs James Holloway has named Alina Chircu the next dean of the Anderson School of Management, effective April 8, 2024.

“The Anderson School of Management is critical to our UNM 2040 Goal of Advance New Mexico. Supporting our state's business environment through training the business and management professionals needed to drive our economy and creating the research and business process development that will enable New Mexico to realize our huge opportunities is key to our impact as a university,” said Holloway. “I am so excited to bring a professional of Alina Chircu’s expertise and talents to our state to lead our amazing Anderson School of Management. The faculty and staff in the school rock it, and Dr. Chircu is just the leader we need to take the school to the next level.”

Chircu is excited about her new role at UNM and looks forward to working with a diverse group of faculty, staff, students and the business community in New Mexico, regionally and nationally.
